A maniacal figure is standing before a coffin in a graveyard. He holds a scalpel and a syringe. He smiles evilly behind opaque glasses.
Death is the most common card in my deck. It is the one that artists seem to gravitate toward, so I have several different versions. Typically, Death suggest the end of something; a phase in your life, a struggle, a relationship…This particular Death, however, is the one that most directly represents an actual death.
If we read this card that in that light, it is telling us that sometimes things simply end. It isn’t promising that they will change and be reborn, just that ending is part of being. Get used to it.
